Roberta "Bobbie" Cooper

Roberta Jean Cooper (Bobbie) passed away April 9, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Brilliant, Ohio to Robert and Flora Bruney and her sister Shirley. Bobbie graduated from Sunnyslope High School and attended Arizona State University. She retired from the Arizona Department of Transportation after a 30 year distinguished career.

Bobbie is survived by her husband Gary Cooper, step-children Julianne Wheeler, and Jon Cooper, her grandchildren Samantha Terrell and her husband Marc, Max Cooper, Shannon Wheeler, Brynn Wheeler, and J.D. Wheeler, her brother in law Lon Kirkland, and her nieces Rebecca Hagen, and Deborah Kirkland.

Bobbie was known for her kind heart, giving spirit, spunk, laughter, and her infectious award winning smile. She was genuinely kind, her ability to love unconditionally was her greatest gift. Bobbie's true joy came from loving her family. She will be missed.

Funeral service will be held on at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 14th at West Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.

In lieu of flower arrangements, memorial contributions are requested to be given to the Alzheimer's association.
