

Ruth Prince Harrison, 98, died November 13, 2014 at Banner Hospice Grandview Inpatient Unit in Sun City West, AZ. Born January 2, 1916 in Claremont, NH to Fred and Ethel Prince. A graduate of University of New Hampshire 1937, a member of Phi Kappa Phi sorority, and graduate of Pennsylvania Hospital of Philadelphia as a Dietitian 1938. She volunteered at many functions at both church and grade school as a homeroom mother. Her love of the outdoors, camping, gardening, birding and crafts led to her becoming involved in Camp Fire Girls as a Leader/Trainer of new leaders for over 25 years and was awarded their prestigious Charlotte Gulick Wo-He-Lo Medallion for her service.
In 1941 she married the love of her life, Henry "Frank" Harrison in Lewes, DE, who preceeded her in death. Mother to William (Judy) Harrison and Janet (Gary) Neff all of Phoenix, AZ. Grandmother to Robert (Cyrise McDonald) Harrison, William (Connie) Harrison, Jeffrey (Melissa) Gardner, Kimberly (Tyler Richardson) Gardner, and Randi Neff. Great Grandmother to Jacob, Kaitlyn, Kaitie, Daniel, Gavin, Carter and Alexa. Also survived by sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, neices and nephews.
A loving daughter, sister, wife, sister-in-law, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, collegiate, leader and teacher. Loved, admired and known by many. Now gone home to the waiting arms of her beloved Frank.
Visitation held, an informal graveside service to be held 1 pm Sunday, Nov. 23rd at Resthaven Cemetery, Glendale, AZ.
