Nanette Williams Flippo passed away on Sunday morning, February 2, 2020. She was born on March 16, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Howard and Flo Williams.
Her family moved to Prairie Village, Kansas while she was in elementary school. Nanette moved to Arlington in junior high school and graduated from Arlington High School in 1965, where she was a flag bearer for the AHS Colt Band. After graduating from Texas Woman’s University with a degree in fashion merchandising, she worked at Henson Kickernick in Denton. She later received her elementary education degree and taught for twenty-five years with Grand Prairie ISD until retirement.
Nanette met the love of her life, C. Ray Flippo, and they married in August of 1969. Nanette designed and made her wedding gown. She and Flip enjoyed many wonderful trips together through the years. They also taught 2nd grade Sunday School together at First Baptist Church in Grand Prairie for many years. She was very giving to her family and friends. She loved her cats, flowers and gardening, and her yard was always beautiful

She is survived by her husband Ray Flippo, as well as numerous cousins and a multitude of friends.
