He was the son of the late Jerry Lander and Frances Posey Iler and was born in Greenville, SC where he lived most of his life. He was predeceased by Rosalie, his wife of 70 years. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Krzak and son-in-law Les of Roswell, Georgia, and sister Betty McMannaway of LaGrange, Georgia. He was predeceased by five sisters and three brothers.
Ed spent his career in the office products industry and retired as Vice President of Harper Brothers, Inc. after 42 years of service. He was also involved in several civic organizations: Project Host Soup Kitchen, Administrative Management Society and Kiwanis Club of Greenville.
Ed was a member of Edwards Road Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was active in the Cliatt Alewine Sunday School Class. He was formerly a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenville where he also served as Deacon. He was a “Life Member” of the Greenville Natural History Association and spent many enjoyable years hiking in the mountains with his many friends in this organization.
In 2021, he moved from his home in Rolling Green Village in Greenville to the Atlanta area to be close to his daughter. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Holbrook Woodstock and Agape Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.

A visitation for Ed will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607 with a funeral service to follow in the Mackey Century Drive Chapel at 12:00 PM. A committal service will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
