Constance "Connie" E. Hext, age 89, August 2, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Herbert. Loving mother of Julia (Larry) Martin, Thomas (Michelle), Laurel (Joseph) Luongo, Gail (Paul) Kuykendall. Dear grandmother of Mylise (Bryan) Pyle, Ashley Martin, T.J. Hext, Lauren Martin, Joseph Luongo, and Abbey Luongo. Great-grandmother of Brennan and Reed. Sister of Mary Louisa Schumars and beloved aunt to many loving nieces and nephews. Most important to Connie was spending time with her friends and family. An avid Detroit Tigers fan. She will be remembered for her happy easy-going personality. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the American Alzheimer's Association are appreciated. Visitation Monday from 5:00 PM until time of funeral service 7:00 PM at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. Interment Tuesday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
