Barbara Klenk, 99, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Jewish Home of Harrisburg. Born July 6, 1914, in Romania, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Suzanna (Cakara) Schafer. She was the widow of Peter Klenk and was preceded in death by her son, Peter, when he was 7 years old.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Saviour.
Barbara had worked as a machine operator for the Cameron Dress Company.
Surviving are her nephew, Jacob Kunz of IL and many friends.
Evening viewing will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014, 6-8:00 p.m. at Gilbert L. Dailey Funeral Home, Inc., 650 South 28th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at her Church, 420 North Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17109, with Rev. Joel D. Petruschke officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church at the above address.
