Debra Ann Garman

Debra “Debbie” A. Garman (Beaver) age 69 of Penbrook, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024. Born May 9, 1955, in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of Ronald L. Beaver and Carol J. Beaver (Miller). She was the widow of David Garman who passed away on August 7, 2018, after 45 years of marriage.

Debbie was a graduate of Central Dauphin East Senior High School. She has worked as a secretary, pre-school assistant teacher and in-home caregiver both privately and for Riverside Associates.

Surviving are her children, Angela Dowd, wife of Thomas of Hamburg, PA and Nicholas Garman, husband of Renee of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Madeline Dowd of Allentown and Hanna Dowd (fiancé – Thomas Yatron) of Sinking Springs; 2 sisters, Joyce Beaver, Cheryl Jones (Richard); 2 brothers, Ronnie (Beth) Beaver, Randy (Lisa) Beaver; Brother-in-law, Dennis (Vivian) Garman and sister-in-law, Sharon (Rodney) Hetrick as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Debbie was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Samuel Chandler and mother-in-law, June Garman.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 11 am at Legacy Faith Church, 104 Roberts Valley Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Interment will be held privately with immediate family at a later date. Contributions can be made to Legacy Faith Church in memory of Debbie (see address above).
