Anna was the daughter of the late William G. Dyson and Myrtle Dyson and was born in McDowell County, WV.
Aside from her husband, Ronnie Karner, Anna was preceded in death by her sister June and brothers Tommy, Ralph and Roger, along with her sweet daughter-in-law, Linda Davis.
Anna was always a survivor. At birth, Anna wasn’t expected to live but by the grace of God, she was blessed to grow up, have 82 years, and become a wonderful mother to Fred Davis Jr., and caring and loving grandmother and great-grandmother.
In 1996, Anna’s poem entitled “Cancer, Darkness in the Night” was published by the National Library of Poetry. Anna was diagnosed with breast cancer and told once again, not to expect to make it more than 6 months. God and Anna had more plans that lasted over 30 years. She traveled to many places but Hawaii was her favorite place.
Anna is survived by her son, Fred Davis Jr., grandson, David Davis, grandson, Tim Davis and his wife Melissa as well as their daughter, McKenzie - 11. Granddaughter, Sarah Davis and her children, Ciarra -13, Arianna - 11, Carly – 7 and Junior – 2. Granddaughter, Rebekah Davis and her children, Zachary – 14, Alexander – 12, Cameron – 11, Gabriel – 8 and Cashmere – 1. She is also survived by brother, Lawrence Dyson and wife, Judy. Sister, Betty Francisco and husband, Jerry. Sister, Helen Compton and husband, Jimmy. Sister, Vickie Slaughter and husband, David and sister-in-law, Shirley Dyson along with several nieces and nephews.
