Floyce Alyene (Bledsoe) Smith

Floyce Alyene (Bledsoe) Smith, age 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 30, 2024. She was born to Jasper and Helen Bledsoe on November 3, 1949. Floyce was a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School. On July 3, 1970, she married Larry Smith and went on to have 4 kids together. She loved to spend her days in the garden, going to the gym, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Jasper Oliver Bledsoe and Helen Irene Chauncey Bledsoe; grandson, Matthew Smith; adoptive parents, Thompson Asbury Bledsoe and Laura Ann Hughes Bledsoe; brothers, Charles Oliver Bledsoe, Willard Grant Bledsoe, Maurice Bledsoe, Wayne Thomas Bledsoe, and David Lamar Bledsoe; sisters, Wilma Bledsoe Fowler, Katherine Bledsoe Swaggerty, and Laura Etta Bledsoe Leffew; adoptive sister, Virginia Bledsoe Ooten; and half sister, Rita Faye Bledsoe Poovey.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Larry Smith; sons, Chris Smith and Nathan Smith; daughters, Heather Smith Holder and Nicole Coln; grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Christian Smith, Lily Smith, Jonah Smith, Olivia Smith, Madeline Greene, Devin Smith, Bryce Coln, Teagan Coln, and Ronin Coln; great-grandchildren, Ava Sholtz, Alex Sholtz, and Asher Sholtz; twin brother, Floyd Eugene Bledsoe; half brother, Billy Jack Bledsoe; and special friends, Bill and Sue Smith.

A visitation for Floyce will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, TN 37343. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, TN 37343. A committal will occur Friday, August 2, 2024 after the funeral service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 TN-153, Chattanooga, TN 37343.
