

October 1, 1929 – January 23, 2018
Strong and beautiful wife of Dr. Hector del Castillo for over 70 years, Pichis, as she was known to family and friends went home on January 23, 2018, to be with her heavenly Father. Her life was devoted to her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and great-grand children. Pichis taught us all how to love the Lord, how to forgive, how to love each other in family and how to respect each other. She was a true Christian lady. Pichis was born in Veracruz, Mexico to Olga and Luis Ruano – one brother, Secretary of the Navy, Admiral Luis Carlos Ruano Angulo and one sister, Noemi Ruano del Castillo. Two brothers married two sisters. Her life was her family.
She was President of the Pan American Round table, President of the InterAmerican Club, Institute of Hispanic Culture – Chairman of the Ball, Member of Sembradores de Amistad, Mexico Bello, and April Sound Ladies Association.
She was the creative incentive for what has grown to be Club 11 -Pichis is survived by her husband of 70 years Dr. Hector del Castillo, Sr.; her daughter Itze Lebrija and her husband Sergio; her son, Dr. Hector del Castillo, Jr.; and his wife Barbie; her son, Carlos del Castillo and his wife Catherine; her 9 grandchildren, Shane Prosser, Gilynne, Brandon, Andres, Brian Sr., Erika, Alejandro, Brianna and Anna; her great grandchildren, Kylie, Tristan, Molly Grace, Benjamin, Eli, Brian Jr., Jameson Sky and Dimitri – with 2 on the way.
Pichis is preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother, her son, Dr. Gil del Castillo and her grandson, 1st Lt. Dimitri del Castillo.
