

Teresa Santillan Ramirez, 86, of Houston, TX, danced her way through the pearly gates of heaven to begin her eternal life on February 9, 2017. She was born on November 3, 1930 to Agustin L. and Carmen B. Santillan. She is predeceased by her parents and six siblings Frank, Melania, Ruben, Jose Gaspar “Jay”, Jose Elias, Rafael “Wero”. She is survived by five children son Hilbert Nunez and wife Shirley, son Johnnie Nunez and wife Michelle, daughter Maria T. Vasquez “Marita” and husband Rudy, daughter Casilda R. Montemayor and husband Oscar, son Isidoro A. Ramirez “Booboo” and girlfriend Sophie, seventeen grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. Also, survived by her four siblings Rudolph “Doc”, Salvador “Paloma”, Esther, Anna Maria Elena “Nena”.
She was raised with a strong catholic faith in El Alacran and Second Ward in Houston, Texas. Graduated from Sam Houston High School Class of 1951. Worked at a loan company downtown for many years. Became a self-employed school bus driver in Denver Harbor for over 35 years. During that time she began to buy real estate rental properties.
She enjoyed family, dancing, and sports. She was adventurous and ready to try everything. She was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother that did amusement parks, water parks, rode bikes, went swimming, fishing, crabbing, and camping with her children and grandchildren. She loved taking her family to the circus, ice capades, rodeo, and many other yearly events in the Houston Area. Her favorite was the family yearly trip to Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels, Texas.
We would like to thank her caregivers, Vickie Trevino, Enedina Hernandez, Minerva Martinez and Norma Gonzalez, for the love and attention that they showered her with. Also, thank you Harbor Hospice for making her journey comforting for her and her family.
