Carl P. Lorick

Carl P. Lorick of Athens, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at his home. Carl was born July 20, 1935, in Batesburg, South Carolina. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jackie; sons, Keith (Glenni) and Mike (Dee); sister, Edna Miller; sister-in-law, Sybil Anderson; grandchildren, Crystal Waggoner (John), Jason Lorick (Erica), Sarah York (Terry), Daniel Lorick (Rhea), Anna Lorick and John Carl Lorick; 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was employed at Florida Power and Light for 38 years, retiring as a supervisor on October 1, 1993. He belonged to the First Baptist Church in Athens. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. He was a friend to all who knew him and would do anything to help serve others near or far. He will be deeply missed by his family and those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, 201 Hobbs St. E, Athens, followed by the funeral at 1:00. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Road, Huntsville. The service will be conducted by Larry Hicks and Keith Lorick.
