Charlie M. "Boy" Scott

Charlie M. Scott was born on September 12, 1931, in Reydell, AR, the sixth child of Loretta (Brooks) of Reydell, AR and McKinley Scott of Pickensville, MS. He received his education in the public schools of Reydell, and Altheimer, AR.
He had a personal relationship with God, and often referred to his faith in Jesus Christ.
Charlie lived in Arkansas until young adulthood and then moved to Jackson, Michigan. Although he had many loves, he married Lucille Paris Ivory, Beatrice Johnson and Barbara Guy.
He worked for Sears and Roebucks, Pacific Gas & Electric, and Fischer Body. He worked as a mechanic for more than 60 years. He operated his own shop in Anderson, IN until he retired at the age of 85. After his retirement he moved to Vacaville, California.
Charlie loved working at his shop and talking with his patrons. He considered himself a people’s person, and loved to socialize. In addition to his love of the ladies and auto mechanics he loved the horse races. After closing the shop he could be found at the local horseracing track.
On September 13, 2019, Charlie went home to heaven. His daughter, Gloria Parks of Pine Bluff, AR, preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory six daughters, Nancy Jones (Eddie) of Jackson, MI, Bobbie Whitmore of Las Vegas, NV, Annette Scott of Oakland, CA, Beverly Scott of Vacaville, CA, Connie Scott of Stockton, CA, Christina Scott of Vacaville, CA, and one Son, Charles D. Scott of Adrian, Michigan; two sisters, Maxine Nelson of Jackson, MI, and Queen Harvey of Jackson, MI; twenty two grandchildren, twenty great-grand children, four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
