Kathlyn Rocco

Age 89 of Jackson, formerly of Ann Arbor, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 under the kind and compassionate care of the staff at Highland Assisted Living and Southern Care of Michigan Hospice, with her daughters at her side. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond G. Paine and Peter F. Rocco. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn A. Ames and Cynthia M. (Earl) Mosher; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Joe Maw; as well as nephews. Kathlyn was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 23, 1929 to George and Ida (Laru) Maw. She graduated from St. Mary’s Boarding School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor as an L.P.N. Kathlyn had a strong faith in the Lord and was an active member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and member of the Altar Rosary Society in Ann Arbor. A celebration of her life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Tim Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Acacia Park in Beverly Hills, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Highland Assisted Living of Jackson, Michigan or Southern Care of Michigan Hospice.
