OBITUARIO

David Christian Bayot

David Christian Bayot, 64, was born in Waimea Kauai, Hawaii on November 4, 1954. He passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on October 28, 2019 in Jacksonville, FL. Although David did not live a very long life, he made his time here count. His was a full and honorable life and one which was dedicated to service.

David proudly served his nation in the United States Navy for 20 years. After retiring from the Navy, he went on to serve an additional 18 years as a Law Enforcement Officer with the United States Department of Defense Police at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. He retired as Watch Commander in 2016. David was an avid fisherman and enjoyed competing in many local and regional fishing tournaments. David was preceded in death by his father, David B. Bayot. Those surviving David are his mother, Helene; his sister, Annette; his brother, Roger; his niece, Jennifer (Robert); his nephew, Justin; his longtime companion, Deborah; Deborah’s sons, Eric and Scott and Deborah’s grandchildren, Jack, Emily, and Caleb (whom “Poppa Dave” shared a special bond with and loved very much). David also leaves behind his extended Hawaiian family as well as many friends and Brothers-in Arms who loved him and will miss him very much. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 15 at 11:00 am at Naval Air Station Jacksonville – St. Edwards Chapel located at 751 Birmingham Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida. EOW and “Pau Hana”, David now rests in Paradise with his Kupuna. He is “talking story”, with a fishing pole in his hand….
