Gail Marta Nadine LaFleche

Predeceased by her husband Richer (Rick) in 2003. She was also predeceased by her sister Maxine Medlicott and parents Violet and Maxwell Orchard.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters Michelle, Laurie (Terry) and Danielle (Greg), her grandchildren Leigh and Dale, and her brother Vince (Rita), as well as many nieces and nephews and so many others that she crossed paths with over her lifetime.

Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg and after a few different moves she and Dad settled in Kelowna in 1975 with Laurie and Danielle. Michelle would join the family shortly after.

Mom worked hard all of her life raising a family and working in many clerical jobs in Winnipeg and Kelowna. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and singing. Both she and Dad enjoyed entertaining friends and family and welcomed all into our homes over the years. They also passed on their love of music and appreciation of reading and learning to us.

Mom was known for her youthful appearance due to her gorgeous skin. She had a lovely smile and a generous nature.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Cottonwoods who went above and beyond in caring for Gail for almost five years. There are so many of you from the nurses, care aides, activity staff, greeters, laundry, housekeeping and food service who added to the special community that became her home. Please know how much it has been appreciated.
