Born on November 19, 1968, Colette brought joy and warmth to all who knew her throughout her life.
Colette is survived by her loving partner Shane, and her two children, Levi and Keith. She leaves behind her devoted mother Martina, her brother Steve, and her sister Saskia. She was preceded in death by her father, William.
Colette had a kind heart, an infectious smile, and a gentle way with everyone she met. She cherished her partner Shane, her soul mate, and even though they didn’t have a lot of time together, they shared a deep and meaningful bond. Her devotion to her family was boundless.
She had an incredible passion and gift for gardening; her home was always bursting with greenery and life. Her fig tree was her pride and joy. Only Colette had the patience to nurture it to bear fruit year after year. Colette cherished her summers as a child at Georgian Bay, camping under the stars on Beausoleil Island, making campfire pies and telling ghost stories with her family. She welcomed many cats into her heart and home over the years, especially black cats. With her tremendous sense of style and love of fashion, Colette had a gift for always looking stunning.
Colette’s spirit lives on in the beautiful gardens she nurtured, the love she shared with all of us, and the countless ways she showed kindness every day. We will miss her gentle soul more than words can say, but we’ll never forget the light she brought into our lives.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. at Proof Kitchen & Lounge, 110 Erb St. W., Waterloo, Ontario. Family and friends are warmly invited to come together in honour of Colette’s memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
