Hilary Luke "Poochie" Trahan

Poochie was a native of Cameron Parish. In his spare time, he loved restoring antique cars, hunting, and fishing and especially loved spending time with his grandkids. Poochie was a loving husband, father, grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are wife, Nedia Trahan of Cameron, LA; son, Brian Trahan and wife, Dayna of Longbeach, MS; son, Jonathan “Jon Jon” Trahan and wife, Becky of Sweet Lake, LA; six grandchildren, Gabrielle, Sadie, Beau, Laura, Macy, and Sophie; three great-grandsons, Cooper, Emmett, and Charles; brothers, Wiliam Ray Trahan and wife, Sheila of Lake Charles; brother, Carlton Lee Trahan and wife, Dorothy of Houma, LA; brother, James “Bodie” LaBove of Little Chenier, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Luke Trahan, father, Man Trahan, mother, Hilda Sickafus, a brother, Terry Peter Trahan, and a sister, Linda Mae Conner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Cameron, La. Rev. Babasino Fernandes will officiate. Burial will follow in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be 5 - 9 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole. Visitation will resume Tuesday 10 a.m. until time of service at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Cameron with a Rosary before service.
