

Helen Mae Shaw Shipp passed away March 10, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born February 12, 1928 in Price, Utah to Ervin and Marva Horsley Shaw. Helen married Darel Behunin on July 1 1946, and were later divorced. She then married Clifford Shipp on August 7, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, Clifford and Helen made Las Vegas their home, where she has lived for the past 41 years. In her early life, Helen became a nurse and worked in the Price City Hospital for many years. She loved to garden, and joined the Las Vegas Iris Society, where she won many competitions. Helen was also a member of the Las Vegas Miniature Doll House Club; a club where she was able to let the little girl in herself come out and play. She filled her home with many tiny houses, people, pets, gardens, and even stores for them to shop in; as well as, went on cruises where she met lots of people who also enjoyed her passion to build miniatures. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother. She is survived by two son's Darel A. Behunin (Marylin), of Ferron and David L. Behunin (Tim), of San Diego; one daughter Mila Andersen (Roger), of Las Vegas; one brother Ernal Shaw (Shanna), of Colo; and many grandchildren. Helen will be missed by her family and many friends. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Palm Northwest Mortuary located at 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Interment will follow at Palm Northwest Memorial Park.
