Mrs. Edna Louise Adams Winebarger, 95, of Lenoir passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir. Mrs. Winebarger was born August 31, 1923 in Watauga County to the late George Adams and Maude Lillian Davis Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lloyd Earl Winebarger and a brother, George Adams. Louise, (known to her family and many others as Memaw) was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family with all her heart. She was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church for 62 years and was faithfully involved until her health prevented her from attending. She had the sweetest spirit and always the smile of an angel. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Gloria Austin and husband Ralph, Gayle Helton and husband Jeff, Delaine Gragg and husband David, all of Lenoir, grandchildren, Scott Austin, Sandi Cannon, Wesley White, Phillip White, Melissa Byrd, great grandchildren, Chris Austin, Megan Robbins, Bryan and Katelyn Cannon, Mason Austin, Brianna Walker, Charlotte and Matilde White, Corryn White, Barrett Byrd, Great-great grandchildren, Leah and Colton Watson, Hunter and Maddie Robbins, Coy and Charlie Beth Austin, sister Edith Winebarger and a sister-in-law, Nancy Adams. Also left to cherish her memory are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Winebarger and Rev. Alan Craig officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm, prior to the service at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Austin, Wesley White, Phillip White, Bryan Cannon, Rodney Cannon and Douglas Byrd. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Austin, Jeff Helton and David Gragg.
