John Joseph Flaherty, III died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born on January 1, 1947 in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of the late John J. and Catherine Finn Flaherty, Jr.
John is survived by his daughters, Maureen Larco (Thomas) and Catherine Stavis (Matthew); two brothers, William and James Flaherty; sister Theresa Bottomly; six grandchildren, Charlotte, Natalie, Braden, Ava, Julia and Sara; and the mother of his children, Dorothy Sullivan Flaherty.
Services will be private with the family.
He will rest peacefully in our hearts and carries with him the spirit of love and strength of family. His family would like to thank the Neuro ICU team at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for providing comfort, care and compassion in his last days.
