She was born on November 28, 1931 in Ola, AR to her parents John Ott and Lola Mason, she married her beloved spouse Edgar D. Oslin on January 12, 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Edgar M. Oslin.
She graduated from Ola High School at the age of 16. She attended Baptist Health School of Nursing where she graduated as a RN in 1951. She began her career as a surgical nurse. She moved on to teaching at Baptist Health School of Nursing and St. Vincent’s Infirmary School of Nursing. Her passion for caring of others led her to multiple opportunities in the field of nursing. She ended her career with Visiting Nurses of Arkansas and St. Vincent’s home care where she was the Director of Nurses.
Sarah was a devoted Christian woman who gave her life to the Lord. She was baptized at Immanuel Baptist Church. After marriage she became a member of Lifeline Baptist Church where she raised her family and was involved for many years, she eventually moved to back Immanuel Baptist Church where she attended until her passing. She enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry, going to shows at Murry’s Dinner Playhouse, and playing Mexican train Domino’s. She loved spending time with her family and her friends from her Sunday school class and at Parkway Village. She was huge fan of golf (Tiger Woods), Hallmark movies, Christmas time, the color pink, fresh flowers, Perry Mason and Murder She Wrote reruns, birthdays and special occasions. She never missed a holiday to send loved ones a special card which always had a little gift inside.
Sarah is survived by her daughter Susan Blaydes (James Brian); stepdaughter Karen Oslin Branton (Andy); granddaughters Jordan Blaydes, Sarah & Kristen Oslin; grandson James Devan Blaydes, and step grandson Michael K. Compton, 3 great grandchildren Madison Butler, Maddox Mosby and Carleigh Pizan along with several cousins and so many friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 21st 10 am at Immanuel Baptist Church with visitation immediately following burial will be 1 pm at Roselawn Memorial Park.
