

With the exception of his service to the army and job requirements, Ken remained in Boulder County his entire life.
Ken enjoyed a cowboy lifestyle with his passion for donkeys and mules. In his love for travel, Ken enjoyed travelling to events and competitions with his animals. Ken especially enjoyed his participation in various parades.
Ken was an avid square-dancing fan and competitor. He enjoyed participating in various events surrounding square-dancing.
Ken chose a carpentry career in which he was a proud union member.
Ken is survived by son Mark (Trudy) who resides in Wisconsin and a daughter Kendra Chanel of Colorado, as well as stepdaughter Brenda and two step- grandchildren, Tosha ad Zach and four step-great grandchildren. Ken is also survived by a sister, Maxine VanDenBerg, niece Sherry and nephew Terry, along with five great nephews. Ken leaves behind a Jane Mathews, a beloved companion of many years.
Ken peacefully passed away at the age of 90 on December 30, 2019 at Cherrywood Manor of Louisville, Colorado with Jane at his side.
Services provided by Howe Mortuary in Longmont, CO on January 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow. A private family service at Green Mountain Cemetery will be held the following Monday.
