

Dollas “Dolly” Louise Hellmueller, 97, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away March 1, 2025. She was born at midnight on February 4, 1928, to the late Marvin and Anna Marie High, on their farm in Brooksville, Kentucky. Dolly was a member of First Christian Church of Louisville. She worked for Duke’s Laundry and Dry Cleaners and Reynold’s Metals, before going to work for Underwriters Salvage, where she retired after 36 years. Dolly enjoyed having her family around her table for dinner, reading, taking scenic drives, working in the yard, and playing “Oh Hell”.
Dolly is preceded in death by her husband; George “Connie” Hellmueller, son; William F. Porter III, parents; Marvin and Anna Marie High, grandparents; Clarence and Florence High, and Peter and Anna Weismann.
Left to cherish Dolly’s memory are her grandchildren; Heather Simpson (Shayne) and William Porter IV (Kendra), great-grandchildren; Alexis Taylor Wright, Jordan Michael Simpson, William Forrest Porter V, Derek Bradley Porter, Elijah Anthony Porter, and Annabelle Marie Porter.
Visitation for Dolly will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, at Evergreen Funeral Home from 11:00am to 2:00pm, with a funeral to follow directly at 2:00pm. Visitation will resume after the funeral and go until 6:00pm. Dolly will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Dolly’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
