It is with deep sadness I send this to all the family about Donald Votaw. Our heartfelt prayers for all who now mourn his passing. I rejoice in the truth that he is in the presence of our LORD enjoying the blessings that he heard "Well done, good and faithful servant".  I was privileged to grow up at Mt Holly, to have Don along in life, Sunday school, MYF,  church services & meetings, Camp LouCon etc. He was always there with us, just a big family for us all. The same age allowed us to go from one Sunday school class to class, all around the basement rooms at Mt. Holly. Our whole lives revolved around Mt Holly. SO many memories I could & do now recall. He was (is) always the friend, even brother to be counted on without fail. And never a day he didn't give that marvelous laugh. Very thankful for him, for his whole Family, for Brenda. All so very much a part of my growing up. Thankful he Ushered in our wedding! I look forward to the great reunion that future day we're all together again, make sure everyone you know makes it there! Then, we will all share so much we cannot fully say now. Our profound hope for those who mourn today as we look to that blessed day when ALL tears will be wiped away. LORD bless those of us who must remain,  for the short time till then.

Brenda, Bradly and the rest of the Votaw family, I am so sorry for your loss! Don was one of the greatest friends that I've had in my life. Knowing him for more than forty years and being a life member of the Louisville Street Rods myself, Donald Ray was one of the people that I looked forward to seeing every year at our car show in Iroquois park. Spending time with him and the guys at the "front gate", we talked and caught up with what the each other had been doing for the past year, what projects everyone was working on, how they and their families were doing, comparing and complaining about our physical ailments...and laughing while reminiscing about the good times we had with the "brothers" we have lost, like Chuck, Larry, Amil and all the others that have gone on before us. 
He will be greatly missed!

As a member of the Louisville Street Rods, I have alot of good memories of Don, always had a good mood,   
 A quiet man, but always  friendly  I enjoyed talking to Don, Him and Charlie Raymer worked the main gate at Iroquois Park for our rod 
 run. I know there many people that remember Don & Charlie and the guys on the entrance gate.

To Brad, and Mrs Brenda My heart breaks for you and my prayers are with you on the passing of Mr Votaw. May the memories fill your heart and one day bring smiles to your faces and change the tears to happy memories and thoughts. I remember Mr Votaw as a very loving man. He treated me like I was a son and I will never forget his words to me when we were on our trip in Dallas.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Bud Votaw.
Left to cherish Donald’s memory is his loving wife of 48 ½ years, Brenda Votaw; mother, Margaret Votaw; son, Bradley Ray Votaw (Joni); grandchildren, Bradley Ray Votaw Jr, Hayden Cole Votaw, James Dalton Votaw; great grandchild, River James Votaw; sisters, Donna Phillips, Patti Stewart (Chuck), Linda Votaw; and nieces and nephews.
