Maureen (Whittaker) Ray

She was born in Pineville, Kentucky on December 7, 1934 to the late Enoch and Roxie Hoskins. She was a devoted, loving and caring Mom and “Granny” and will be sorely missed.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Gordon Whittaker and her late husband Charles Ray; and brothers, Ray, James and Charles Hoskins; sisters, Irene Simpson, Marie Philpot and Christine Hoskins.

Left to cherish Maureen’s memory are her daughter, Dawanna (David) Alvey; one grandson, Jason (Shelby) Johnson and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Autumn Johnson and Kaylee Rose Johnson and her extended family and caregivers at Sunrise Manor, Hogdensville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Dignity Chapel. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service also at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
