

Don Clayton Thrash went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 13, 2016. Don was born to B.B. and Elva Green Thrash on June 22, 1936 at the family home in Odell, Texas. He grew up and worked on the family farm and was a graduate of Odell High School in 1953. He excelled and loved all sports – football, basketball, tennis and golf. He was a pioneer of cotton planting seed and acid delinting. Don owned, operated and was a partner of six delinting plants across the plains from 1958 to 1970. He was also a farmer and rancher and had a great love for the land. Don had countless friends that he loved and was loved by so many.
Don is survived by his three sons: Terry and wife, Deanie, Dusty and wife Brenda, Bill Bob and wife Carla; his brother, Tommy and wife, Nancy; grandchildren: Melissa Thrash, Letitia and husband Cliff Holden, Corey Thrash and wife Brianna, Koby Reed and wife, Elizabeth, Bucky Thrash and wife Amanda, Drew Thrash, Reagan, Mackenzie, Maya and Harmony Thrash; great-grandchildren: Houston Thrash, Elera Holden, Macy, Kambree and Kacen Reed, and his nieces and nephews who fondly called him Uncle Bud.
He was preceded in death by his parents B.B. and Elva Thrash; sisters Dorothy Thrash Jones and Nina Thrash Morris and Barbara Thrash, his sons’ loving mother.
