Just found out that Don had passed.  So sorry for your loss.  I so enjoyed his story telling and his sense of humor.  God bless the Thrash family during this time of grief.

I have several fond memories of Uncle Don. One of the memories was when I visited my parents in Lubbock. Uncle Don knew my parents were concerned about me because I was in a difficult situation and he asked me to have lunch with him. During lunch, he expressed concern for me. Uncle Don loved his family and was deeply loyal to us. He insisted I take some money he offered me and said all I had to do was let him know I was ready to make a move and he would move me and my children back to Texas. Uncle Don was a good person to have on your team. We will miss him.

My deepest Sympathy to the family. I have many memories of the family when the family lived in Brownfield. My husband, Hub(deceased in 1994)always enjoyed a good laugh. Friends are a special gift from God. God bless you all.

Many found memories of Don. There were very few who could make my dad, Phil laugh as hard as Don did. I'm sure the two of them will certainly make the heavens a little funnier every day. All my condolences to you Terry, Dusty and Bill Bob. Your entire family holds great memories of my early childhood in the Cotton Fields of West Texas. With fond memories and heartfelt condolences.

Don Thrash was one of my favorite cousins and one of the best men Odell ever produced. He was kind, caring and generous to every person he came in contact with.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, especially me and my wife, Janet.  We love you Don.  Our only consolation is knowing you are free of pain and in a better place.

Remember meeting Don at Brownfield South Co-op Gin in 1959, he was always like family and forever dear friend. Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.
