Dorothy Lamb

Dorothy was born September 27, 1921 to Gus and Virgie Reeves, in Sherman, Texas. Her family moved to Gainsville. In 1940, she met and married John H. Arnold. They moved to Lubbock in 1950. Dorothy worked for Littons and T. I. In the 70’s John and Dorothy owned and operated Arnold’s Sandblasting. Dorothy married Robert Lamb in 1989.

Dorothy will be remembered as a woman who loved her family with all her heart. Her bubbly ways and kindness will be missed by family and friends.

Preceeding Dorothy in death are her son, Gary Arnold, in 1976, her husband, John, in 1983, a daughter, Carol Sherefield, in 2004, her husband, Robert, in 2005 and a grandson, Richard Dale Bassinger, in 2008. Dorothy also had 3 brothers who preceeded her.

Those left to carry Dorothy’s love forever in their hearts are her sons, John and James Arnold of Wolfforth, her daughter Bonnie and husband Richard Bassinger of Lubbock and a brother Raymond Reeves of Odessa. Dorothy leaves behind also grandaughters Laurie Kleman and Crystal Peterson of Lubbock and Penny Sandzec of Spur. Grandson Russell Sherefield of Plano. Also she leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren who knew her as GG.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home Monday, December 26, 2011, from 7p.m. to 8p.m. Private family services will be held at a later date.

As our mother, Grandmother and GG’s bloom began to fade her on earth our heavenly Father transplanted her into His garden. Now she will bloom forever.
