Doris Faye Strong

Doris Strong was born September 7, 1926 in Dumas City, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Willie Mae (Parker) and James Brock Forbes. She went to be with the Lord on Monday evening, May 7, 2018.

Doris was a retired homemaker and pastor’s wife at Diboll United Pentecostal Church for 55 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Regena Strong, of Lufkin.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Reverend Elzine Strong.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home, with a tribute beginning at 6:30 p.m.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
