Leah was a colleague at UTD.  She helped so much whenever I had computer problems and was always a joy to work with.  Much sympathy to the family on her passing.

Leah was a very generous person, with her time and energy.  Before we were even close friends, she found that I was spending some of my Christmas vacation on a huge home project that was making me very stressed.  She and Peggy volunteered a full day of their break to help me paint the house.  Later, she hired me as part of Information Security, and she made sure my salary was a fair reflection of my contribution.  This has made a big difference for my retirement pension.  I have such good memories of going to movies, the state fair, and musicals.  Such an extraordinary person.  I know she touched many lives for the better.  God bless you, Leah.  I miss you.

I was the first person that Leah hired for the new Security Department at UTD. We worked many late hours generating reports and keeping up with all the demands of the job. No matter how hard I worked, Leah worked even harder. She was indefatigable.

Through all the years of my life, Leah was far and away the best boss I ever had. She was very demanding, but she coupled that with a deep concern for the well-being of her employees. She treated me with great fairness and consideration, and she valued my opinion. I have many wonderful memories of our time together.

I knew, of course, of all of Leah's physical challenges. Despite carrying a burden few people could handle, Leah never complained. Despite all her challenges, she could and did outwork me and every person who worked for her. She was an incredible person. Truly one of a kind. She will be missed. I am thankful, however, that she is no longer suffering from all the physical difficulties that she endured so gracefully and stoically.

She is survived by her son, Alexander Noam and Wendy Teutsch of Murphy TX; daughter, Kristen Alyse Teutsch of New York City, NY; grandsons, Austin Alexander Teutsch and Nathaniel Cole Teutsch of Murphy TX; sister, Mary Ann and Larry G. Mills of Lufkin, TX; Brothers , John Charles and Charlotte Hambrick of Austin, TX; William Webb and Mary Hambrick of Gonzales, LA; James (Jim) Marvin and Sherry Hambrick of Pollok, TX. 
 She is preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Amanda Renee Teutsch.
