Rosa Lee Wilson

Rosa Lee Wilson, 86, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Paul Wilson. Born in Amherst, January 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Abner Staton and Hattie Brown Staton. She was a member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by two daughters, Liz Falwell and her husband Lewis of Goode and Joyce Johnson and her husband Gerald of Lynchburg; one son, Warren Wilson and his wife Lucy of Lynchburg; two brothers, Page Staton of Roanoke, Roy Staton of Amherst; two sisters, Maggie Tyree and Ruby Johnson and her husband Julian all of Lynchburg; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Carl Weiser officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
