Charlene F. Emerton (Riparandido), 73, beloved wife of David Emerton with whom she shared 36 years of marriage, passed away at the Kaplan House after a lengthy illness on September 24, 2022 with family by her side. She was born in Lynn, raised in Swampscott, and graduated from Swampscott High School Class of 1966. She was the daughter of Tony Riparandido and Irlanda (Bisegna) Riparandido. Besides her husband, she leaves behind her sister Kathleen (Charles) Tucker of Swampscott and Jean (Jeff) Deacon of Florida, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Richard. Charlene loved working in her yard and decorating her house for all of the holidays and getting together with her family to celebrate. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her, and by her cat Kalie, with whom she had a mutual love affair. The family would like to thank the staff at Salem Hospital and the Kaplan House for the compassionate care they gave her. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making a donation to Care Dimensions (Kaplan House) or to Northeast Animal Shelter. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 4 P.M.-7 P.M. at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street in Lynn, MA.
