

Mrs. Roseann C. (Farrell) Hackett, of Franklin formerly of Lynnfield, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Deacon Robert Hackett.
Born in Somerville, Roseann was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Sullivan) Farrell. She was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. She raised her family in Lynnfield, residing there for 33 years before moving to Newburyport and finally settling in Franklin.
She was an avid reader and in earlier years, enjoyed needlepoint. She loved to travel and was also a member of the Christian Women’s Club.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Christine Roberge and her husband Steven of Cambridge, Cheryl Hackett of Middletown, RI, Robert Hackett and his wife Tia of Rochester, NH and Carolyn Rodgers and her husband Timothy of Franklin. She was the loving Grandmother of Adam Roberge, Meghan Galvin, Robert Galvin, Finn Hackett, Sara Rodgers, Christopher Rodgers, Patrick Rodgers, Jack Rodgers, and the late Faolan Hackett. Sister of John Farrell of Wakefield, Mary Farrell of Lynn and the late Richard Farrell and Lillian Ryan.
Visitation for Roseann will be held at St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St. LYNNFIELD on Thursday from 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 No. Beacon St. Watertown, MA 02472.
