I served with Larry in Vietnam when he came to B troop he was assigned to the 28 track, we were sitting around talking, and someone brought him his weapon a 45 he took it and pulled the slide back, it was loaded with his finger on the trigger it went off. You should have seen his face when l said I'm hit I was laying on the back hatch so the bullet just nick me on the stomach and the arm From that day on we were best friends                              Sorry to hear about his passing I've thought about him often, but like others I never follow up     Sincerity Mike

Sorry for your lost Steve. I remember Larry, Bobbie, Margaret,  and you and your parents because I lived behind y'all on DeWitt. I have so many memories about you and your family. I hope you remember me. Larry walk me back home when I was in the 2nd grade from the bus stop on Story and DeWitt when I got hit with a rock above the eye. I remember when he got in a fight with David Bambico from Irving High School across from MacArthur High.  Best fist fight I have ever seen. I walk Larry home when the cops showed up. I worked for GTE for 31 years. My prayers go with you and your family. 

Larry was one of those guys that you could never forget. When I was a maint. splicer in Lewisville, Tx Larry and I worked together. He was always willing to help you out anytime the need arose. He was fun to work with and knew the business. I learned a lot from him and a lot not to do also. A lot of people didn't know it but Larry was colored blind. I had to go behind him quite a few times to fix shorts on cable pairs. I considered him a good friend and a good fellow telephone man. Larry you will be greatly missed by all. Rest In Peace my friend.

So sorry to hear about your loss of Larry.  I started working for Southwestern State's Telephone in 1957. I had the privilege of working alongside Bob Locke, who taught me a lot about the telephone industry.  I remember Bob bringing Larry and Stephen to the office before their teenage years. Bob was so proud of Larry when went into the Army and also when he came home.  Larry, you will be missed, rest on peace.

We are so sorry for your loss of Larry! You have our deepest sympathies. We enjoyed looking through all the pictures. They showed he loved life and people and they loved him back! Will keep you in our prayers as you go through this difficult time.

We will miss you buddy. We had some good times together. From the 50's party in Seabrook, Tx so long ago , to all the parties with all you Locke's. It's been a wild ride my friend. Thank you for bringing me into your home when I was going through a divorce, putting a roof over my head and feeding me. Thank you for loaning me that ragged old Pinto to drive, when I blew up the motor in my pickup. Thank you for giving me a job when I left Contel and was lost and without direction. Thank you for always being there for me to talk to when I was down. Thank you for the smiles, the good times and the bad. Thank you for sharing your life with me and being my brother from another mother. for nearly 40 years. Rest in peace old friend. Give Paula a hug for me.

I had the great pleasure of knowing Larry. Yes he was one of a kind. You never actually knew what he was thinking, but you knew if you were thinking wrong. I loved to cook for Larry, and he loved lemon pies, at Thanksgiving I would make him one, carry it to him and he would tell me to hide it so his brother wouldn't eat it all. He was a good friend and I have been blessed to know and share a small part of his life.. ... I will certainly miss him

Larry was a long time neighbor of ours. We always enjoyed his rides up to sit and visit with us, always knew where to go to find a tool no one else had. I enjoyed my stops to check on him as I rode through "the hood" as Larry called it. When I very first moved here Larry was the first person to get to know me, always laughing and joking,  always willing to help in any way he could. I still catch myself looking off the back of "the hill" as he called it,  to see where he is sitting on his Mule watching what was going on, or gone on another trip to support his fellow veterans. He will definitely be missed by many. Rest easy dear friend... we've got it from here. Gonna miss ya "Doc Locke", the old hood is not gonna be the same without you.
