Mary Jane Galler, 94, of Loves Park, IL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at River Bluff Nursing after a long illness. Mary Jane was born February 20, 1927 in Paden City, West Virginia, the daughter of Joseph and Hazel (Wiley) Wade. She married her sweetheart, Marvin Galler on October 5, 1946. Mary Jane was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church for 50 years. She was a homemaker when her children were young and went on to work at various manufacturing jobs before retiring. Mary Jane enjoyed sewing and playing cards. She enjoyed peanut butter very much and ate it most every day. Mary Jane and Marvin loved going polka dancing in their younger years. Most of all, Mary Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will truly be missed.
Mary Jane is missed by her children, Stanley (Melissa) Galler, Charlotte (Michael) Boustead and Barbara (Ralph) Seaworth; grandchildren, Carla Adsit, Jill and Lynn Galler and their mother, Geri LaRosa, Jim Boustead, Corey (Angi) Seaworth, Lindsey Savalla, and Kyle Seaworth; great grandchildren, great great children; sister in law, Eva Wade and Caryl Galler and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, daughter Cathy Bost and her brother and sister.
A visitation will be held from 1:30-2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
