30 marzo , 1939 – 8 febrero , 2021
Angelo Michael Vanchure Jr., 81 of Whiting past away in the early morning on February 8, 2021 after he lost his battle with COVID-19 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, New Jersey. He was born on March 31, 1939 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where he grew up one of ten children to Angelo & Harriet Vanchure.
He graduated from Wilkes-Barre High School in 1957 and shortly after served honorably on active duty in the United States Army as a specialist at Fort Hood, Texas. His skillset as an apprentice in printing served him well as he went on to become a journeyman in that vocation for the army. After his time serving, Angelo went on to own his own business as a skilled professional in the field.
While growing up and throughout his life, Angelo enjoyed such hobbies as skeet shooting, music, fishing, and a love for horses. He competed often while serving in the army and eventually became a top skeet shooter on the army national team. Later on, he would pass his love of horses onto his only son, Andrew. Angelo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle who was quick with a joke and had an unmatched talent to make those around him laugh.
Angelo is preceded by his son Andrew and second wife Micalina. He is survived by his daughter Michelle and husband Edward Unger; two grandchildren Major Christopher and Rianna Vanchure and his many siblings, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Angelo will be laid to rest in Patterson, NJ with his wife and son. A celebration of Angelo’s life will be held at a later date due to the ongoing risk to his family and friends.

I was blessed to spend time working at Mr. Vanchure's home. He was so kind and funny and loved his grand daughter Rianna so much. He kept me laughing and I will never forget the moments I shared with him. May he rest in peace in heaven with his son and watch over us all.
