Eleanor Irons Feeney, 91, of Toms River passed away on Sunday April 1, 2018, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Long Branch, NJ, Eleanor was a 1945 Graduate of Long Branch High School. She had spent the majority of her life between Monmouth and Ocean County.
Eleanor was employed by Children’s Psychiatric Center of Eatontown, NJ and retired in 1982.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Major General James J Feeney in 2008 and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ralph and Maureen Fowler, Temecula, CA, and her daughter and son-in-law Judith and Ernest DeLuise of Brick, NJ. Also surviving are her granddaughter Tina Fjell and her great grandchildren Emma and Kristian Fjell of Norway.
A visitation will be held on Saturday April 7, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, with services to begin at 8:30 pm. Interment will be scheduled at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
