Richard W. 'Red' Reese, age 75, died Saturday morning, October 6, 2007. Red died at home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born December 17, 1931 in Fairmont, W. Virginia to the late Glenn A. and Ethel E. Carpenter Reese. He had a great sense of humor that he shared with his family and friends and could always be seen in a different car. Mr. Reese was retired from the City of Mansfield after thirty years of service.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-two years, Vera 'Mae' Reese; two sons, Jim Rhonda Reese of Shelby and Roger Debi Reese of Mansfield; two daughters, Sharon Cleveland and Laura Jeff Dropsey both of Mansfield; a host of grand and great grandchildren; a brother, James Reese of Mansfield and a host of nieces and nephews. Red was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Glenn Reese, Jr. and a great grandson.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.in the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors by Rev. Brian Phillips. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 pm. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
