Walter A. Peters

He was born February 7, 1928 in Chicago to Irvin and Elizabeth Peters. Walter was a long time member of St. Ansgar Catholic Church in Hanover Park.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen; his children, Paul (Cynthia) Peters and Constance (Joseph) Greszewski; his grandchildren, Michael, Elizabeth, and Timothy; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; his brothers, Robert (Jane) and Ronald (Coralyn) Peters; and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Ann (Vince) Georgen; and his granddaughter, Christine Peters-Holt.

There will be a visitation from 4 to 8pm on Friday, January 25 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at 9:30am on Saturday, January 26 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 323 N. Taylor St., Marengo.

Interment in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery will be private.
