Sallie Lou Howze

Sallie Lou Howze, 85years old, passed away on March 3, 2021 at her home in Ovilla, Tx. She was born in Marlin, Tx on July 30, 1935, the daughter of Georgia Oda (Mickey) and Guy M. Ogden of Marlin, Tx. Sallie wed Donald Marvin Howze on June 26, 1953 in Marlin,Tx. They lived in Dallas, Tx until 1971 when they moved to their home in Ovilla, Tx. They raised three children, Donna J. Clyce, Barry L. Howze and Eric E. Burns. Sallie graduated from Marlin High School in 1953. She worked as the secretary for the SW regional manager Grocery Products Division of the Hormel Foods Corporation for 30 years. She retired on Sept 10, 1988. Sallie and Don were married for 53 years until Don’s passing on Dec 1, 2006. Sallie was survived by her brother Ronnie Mack Ogden and wife Ross of Austin, Tx; her son Barry L. Howze and his wife Twiletta of Granbury, Tx, their children David Howze, Courtney and husband Jacob Cole. She is also survived by her daughter Donna Clyce, her children, son, Jeb Stokes; daughter, Jessica and her husband Chris, their children Christopher and Juniper; Donna’s youngest son, Chance Clyce and oldest son, Eric E. Burns and his children, Heather and husband Nick Villanueva and their children Ivy, Nolan, and baby Robin due this month; Brittany and her husband Dustin Peeples and son Hayden; Ryan Burns and his children, Sora and Zelda;. Sallie had many close in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that she loved dearly. Sallie was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia and Guy Ogden, her husband, Don Howze, her sisters, Bette Jo Davis, Shirley Jean and husband John Walker, and her grandson Kevin C. Howze son of Barry and Twiletta Howze. Sallie, Granny, loved God and devoted her life to her family.
