Dr. Ritchie Curtis Eanes

Dr. Ritchie Curtis Eanes, 43, formerly of Ridgeway, died Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his home in Izmir, Turkey. He was born in Martinsville, April 30, 1969 to Naomi Richardson Eanes of Ridgeway and the late Willard Curtis Eanes. He was a 1987 graduate of Drewry Mason High School and attended Grace Baptist Church when he was a resident of Ridgeway. He attended Guilford College and received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Clemson University. He was assistant chemistry professor at Izmir Institute of Technology in Turkey.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dr. Mehtap Emirdag Eanes of the residence in Turkey; one son, Matthew Ozan Eanes of the residence; one sister, Renee Eanes of Ridgeway; one brother, Rodney Eanes and wife, Barbara of Charleston, SC; two nieces and three nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway with Pastor Curt Ashley officiating.

Friends may call at the home of his mother, Naomi R. Eanes, 25 Ellsworth Court in Ridgeway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
