Helen L. Schiavoni

HELEN L. SCHIAVONI (nee Doty) age 94, passed away peacefully May 15, 2018. She was born in a coal mining town in Pennsylvania and moved to Cleveland during WWII and met her husband Gus. She raised four children while getting her Bachelor's degree in Education and taught in the Cleveland Public Schools for 30 years retiring in her early seventies. After retiring she enjoyed traveling the world. Preceded in death by her husband August, survived by children, Michael (Mena), Dale (Julie), Gary (Mary Anne) and Cindy Cardwell (John), Grandchildren Jarrod Burns, Sean and Scott Cardwell and Dana Schiavoni, Great grandchild Wesley Schiavoni and brothers Teddy (Patty, deceased) Doty and Julius (Joanne) Doty and many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Helen's memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, OH 44110.
