Margie A. Dunkin

Margie Ann Dunkin passed away in her home March 29th. Margie was born April 27th, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio

Margie was the Third Child of Faye and Ed Leckrone. She graduated from Parma Schaff High School where she met Jim Dunkin and they married in 1949. Jim owned a construction company with his father and built a home for Margie in Middleburg Hts. which they soon filled with their 4 children. Margie lived in this home the rest of her life. She worked many years for a construction company until retiring and then with Jim spent winters in Florida.

Family was very important to Margie, spending every holiday with her large family of brothers and a sister and their families and Jim’s family. She also enjoyed camping with her husband and children.

Margie was one of the founding members of Pleasant Hills United Methodist Church in Middleburg Hts. They began meeting in 1957 at Koeppe School in Middleburg Hts. until able to build a church in 1962. She was a member of the choir and was very active in the church until Covid shut the church Spring 2020.

Margie leaves behind her four Children Christine, Cynthia, Peggy and Jim, Nine Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Pleasant Hills United Methodist Church, Monday, April 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

Interment Private.

FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS Monday Morning from 10:30 until time of Service at Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions for Margie can be sent to Pleasant Hills United Methodist Church, 13200 Bagley Road, Middleburg Hts., Ohio 44130.

RESTRICTED VISITATION AND SERVICES - FOLLOWING STATE SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES

Everyone attending Visitation and Funeral Services are REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS and social distance themselves from others.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chris's mom a few times when she came to Amery Wisconsin to visit. My favorite memory of her was dancing the "Shuffle" with her at one of her grandchildren's wedding dance. Our condolences to her family. Sending thoughts and prayers to all.
