Mary Elizabeth Smith Collum

Mary Elizabeth Gonzales Smith Collum, 94, born January 14, 1926, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Mobile, Alabama. Mary worked for the U.S. Government as a secretary for over nineteen years. She absolutely loved to cook and entertain her family. Mary also enjoyed cross-stitching, and was an avid student of the Bible. She delighted in attending church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Joseph Gonzales and Blossom Norah Wheeler Gonzales; first husband, Forrest G. Smith; second husband, Cecil Collum; and one brother, Robert J. Gonzales, Jr. Mary is survived by her two children, Robert J. Smith (Janice) and Deborah S. Page (Sam); five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; twin sister, Rose G. McKaig; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Pine Crest Cemetery.
