John is survived by his sisters Jean and Sharon and his brothers Bruce, Donald, George and Laird. Also surviving are his dear friends Anita Graham and Rita and Guy Desjardins of Montreal.
John was predeceased by his former wife Marcella Lawerence, Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. Also predeceasing him were his parents, sister Joan and his brothers Philip and Charles.
There will be a Memorial Service for his community of family and friends in the Collins Clarke McGillivray White Funeral Home, on Friday, October 21 at 2 P.M. with family greeting at 1 P.M.
There will be a second Memorial Service for John's family and friends in the Maritimes at St. Andrew's United Church in Truro, Nova Scotia with internment in Old Barnes.
The service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, November 5 with the Reverend Mary Beth Moriarity and the Reverend Jay Ettinger officiating.
