Mary Lou Nichols

A funeral service will be held at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel on Saturday, October 8 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Farrar Bentley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm prior to the service on Saturday.

Mary Lou was born on December 15, 1927 in Woden, Texas to parents Charles Henry Seale and Susie Butler. Mary Lou was a graduate of Nacogdoches High School. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University and earned her bachelors degree and then earned her Masters degree from Houston Baptist University. Mary was a retired elementary school teacher for Spring Branch ISD. She was a well loved teacher and an avid gardener who enjoyed her retirement. Mary had a good sense of humor and enjoyed traveling in and out of the country.

Mrs. Nichols is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Warren Wesley Nichols.

Mary is survived by her daughter Lynn Nichols Singeltary and husband Philip; grandsons, Alex and Sam Wesley Singletary all of Cypress, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
