Agnes L. (Lash) Jones was born in Pueblo, Colorado on October 11, 1926 to parents John DeForest and Bertha Grace Bird. She was raised on a farm in rural Pueblo County and attended St. Leanders Catholic Church. She was married to Charles Lash who preceded her in death in 1991. She married Ralph Jones a few years later and moved to Sacramento, California. Mr. Jones passed away in 2001 and she moved to the Tampa, Florida area to be near her son, George. She moved to the Country Place Community in New Port Richey where she was active in The Singles Group, Red Hats Society, and led the AAA sponsored senior safe driving classes. She was active with many other groups.
She was employed in Pueblo by the Pueblo Army Depot and the County of Pueblo.
As the last surviving member of her family’s generation, she was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters and by grandson, Brad Lash.
Agnes leaves son, George, daughter-in-law Lillian, and grandchildren Brian Lash and Kelly Jirovec and 5 great grandchildren children: Dylan, Braden and Caroline Jirovec, Krislyn Welch, and Matthew Lash.
