30 septiembre , 1941 – 26 octubre , 2020
Beloved Arline Beth POLITZER passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on October 26, 2020, and is under the care of Riverside Memorial Chapel. She was born in Miami, Florida, to Gabriel and Lillian Politzer on September 30, 1941, and soon afterwards moved to New York City, where she lived the rest of her life. She was a diehard New Yorker who greatly enjoyed Broadway shows and visits to Chinatown, Little Italy, and Yorkville. She loved to travel, especially to Italy.
Arline worked as an electrologist for many years and had many devoted, lifelong clients. She was known for her unique sense of humor and pride in her Hungarian heritage. She was a dear and loyal friend who never missed the opportunity to lend an ear or send a card.
She will be dearly missed by her brother, Jerald Politzer, niece Kerry Politzer, grand-nephews Liam and Jordan Colligan, nephew Brian Politzer, and grand-nephew Parker Politzer.
A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28.

Arline is the aunt of my good friend Kerry Politzer. I understand their relationship to be extremely close and meaningful, and a huge part of Kerry's connection to New York.
Arline lived in the same building as her mother, and they hosted a lavish Pesach meal every year. Attendees included, of course, Kerry and her family, but also fun neighbors. One year, I was lucky to be included. One can't overstate how meaningful it is to share the holidays in a city like New York, which can often feel lonely. I remember Arline for her generous spirit and sharp sense of humor, and warm laughter around the Pesach table.
