He was born in Rome, Georgia, to the late Darryl and Martha McKenzie. Glenn was a member of the US NAVY and finished his service in Norfolk, Virginia where he would start a family with his loving wife, Connye. He would also later retire from the New PortNews Shipyard in 2016.
Glenn was a highly inquisitive gentleman who was fascinated by the workings of different things and was always one to lend a hand when it came to repairs. He also was one to mentor and aid his colleagues at the shipyard. Everyone who needed a hand or a toolcould always count on Glenn to be there and guide them no matter the task.
Glenn is predeceased by his parents, Darryl and Martha McKenzie; and his wife, Connye McKenzie. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Alyson Bethel; his two grandchildren, Cristopher McKenzie and Jacie Bethel; his brother, James McKenzie; and hissister, Jane Jameson.
Glenn will be remembered in a graveside service on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 3pm within the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk.
