Joan was born on the Eastern Shore of Virginia to Amos and Kathleen (Young) Marshall. She had a younger brother, William, and a sister Paulette Kay. She married Ted W. Chapman on March 5th, 1954 and the enjoyed 52 years together.
Joan was a talented homemaker and a great cook. She had wonderful neighbors, Carol, Charlie, and Steve.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters: Annette Hernholm (Marvin), Linda Furlough (Lee), and Judy Brown (K.O.), 7 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Laura, Daniel, Alex, Connor, Katelyn, and Kristina. Also 5 great grandchildren.
